Our emphasis on quality is an important component of CASCADES' philosophy. It is evidenced by the certification of our mills as well as by a strong research activity.
The Two mills (Djupafors and La Rochette) are certified ISO 9001. In 1998, Blendecques was awarded the ISO 14001 certification, a few months after the Arnsberg mill which was also in 1997 awarded the EMAS (Environmental Management and Audit Scheme) certification. In April 2006, Djupafors was awarded the ISO 14001 certification.
Blendecques was awarded the OHSAS certification 18001 for Health Management and Security at work.
CASCADES has always strived to produce quality products and train its people in the latest technologies, such as barrier treatments and olfactory studies.
In addition, we work with the Technical Paper Centre on projects such as the development of mechanical pulp, de-inking or on questions relative to the environment.
In Europe, the group benefits from the support of the CASCADES' Research Centre in Canada, highlighting its important strategic role in the group's future.
